2012 South Carolina Mister Football Finalists
Akia Booker, Byrnes WR
The tradition of Byrnes greats continues with Akia Booker - who had over 50 touchdown catches in his high school career.
ESPN.com's scouting report says Akia is the type of receiver you throw the ball up to vertically and expect him to go up and grab it. Shows very good hands and concentration adjusting to the difficult throw. Does a good job adjusting and contorting his body while the ball is in the air. Will make the leaping grab over smaller DB's and is a very good red zone and jump-ball skills.
Akia Booker is undecided on his college choice and will play for South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl.
Ben Boulware, TL Hanna LB
At 6 foot, 225 pounds, Boulware recorded 174 tackles, with 10 for loss, two sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He's an ESPN Top 150 Recruit and their scouting report says he can stack and shed blockers at this with strength or beat them to the point of attack with quickness. He plays with good downhill pad level when filling and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage with his good downhill burst to the football as a blitzer and relentless effort.
Boulware is committed to play college football for Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers and has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game as well as the Shrine Bowl
Darius Hammond, Strom Thurmond RB
Our next Mr. Football Finalist is running back Darius Hammond of Strom Thurmond High School, coached by Lee Sawyer. Darius was able to overcome a broken ankle at the end of his junior season to have big numbers in 2012.
Hammond found the end zone in 13 consecutive games, piling up more than 1500 total yards and 21 trips to the end zone. He topped the 100 yard mark in 9 games. Head coach Lee Sawyer praises Hammond as a leader saying everyone in the Strom Thurmond program loves him to death. He helped the Rebels to a 12-2 record reaching the 3A state semifinals.
Darius Hammond will close out his high school career when he plays for South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl.
Mykal Moody, Conway QB

He's a Division I prospect with offers from Ole Miss, Kentucky and NC State.? He is going to represent South Carolina in the Shrine Bowl.
Tramel Terry, Goose Creek WR/RB/DB
He is rated as the top recruit in South Carolina by numerous services. Among Tramel's biggest assets is his versatility. He can line up at running back, wide receiver and has the skills to be a shutdown corner. He is the 55th rated prospect in ESPN's Top 150. ESPN's Scouting Report says Terry is a very consistent and reliable pass catcher. Has very good upside as a route runner due to his quickness and the ability to stop and start with little to no wasted motion. He can eat a defender's cushion, attack alignment and shows very good burst and acceleration out of the break.
Tramel had over 1500 yards combined on offense and 23 touchdowns as part of Goose Creek's 13-0 season and will play in the Under Armour All-American game and the Shrine Bowl Earlier today, Tramel Terry signed to play college football for Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs and plans on enrolling in January.
