AC Milan player Philippe Mexes kicks the ball to score against RSC Anderlecht during the Group C Champions League soccer match in Brussels on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
By Matt Yoder, Awful Announcing
One of our favorite announcers around the world is Italian soccer commentator Tiziano Crudeli. Nobody does "crazy old guy soccer fanatic" quite like Tiziano and his fame across the pond has even led to starring roles in commercials for gambling website Ladbrokes. Crudeli is a huge AC Milan fan, so when Milan defender Philippe Mexes scored this incredible bicycle kick in their Champions League win against Anderlecht this week, I knew we had to find Tiziano's reaction. Of course, it didn't disappoint. First the goal, then the commentary...
According to Google Translate, "Fuori Onda" means "off the air." If that's the case, Tiziano is yelling and screaming and making juggling hand gestures just for the fun of it, which of course cements his legend. If only we could import Tiziano for MLS games, then more people may actually watch the American league.
